Recipe from the
Amedeo's Family Cookbook




  Apple Fritters  

Core and peel Baking Apples

 

Slice 1/2 inch thick
 

Batter:
Mix together 2 eggs and 1/2 cup milk, beat.
Add 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder,
  1 tsp salt
Add 1 tsp Crisco Oil and a little sugar, mix

Heat oil in a pan about 1" deep. Dip apple slices in batter and fry until golden brown.

Serve topped w/powdered sugar.

(Note- this batter recipe also makes goof FUNNEL CAKES!) 

Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert!
